Witnesses uncooperative after gunman kills victim on River North sidewalk

CHICAGO — Witnesses were uncooperative after a man was shot and killed during an argument on a River North sidewalk overnight. The gunman remains at large.

Chicago cops were less than a block away when the shooting occurred in the 500 block of North Franklin at 3:15 a.m. They immediately called out shots fired and quickly found the 31-year-old victim. He had suffered seven gunshot wounds, according to an officer at the scene.
