CHICAGO — A corner market featuring food from local businesses opened earlier this month in Belmont Gardens.
Arlene Luna and Jack Blue opened Blue Moon Market at 4058 W. Belmont Ave., just across the street from their coffee shop, Moonwalker Cafe. The two hope to create a space where customers can find fresh food, snacks, cooking ingredients, kitchen essentials and toiletries. The shop will even have a community printer that customers can pay to use.
“If you live in this neighborhood and you don’t drive, there isn’t really a place that you could walk to,” Luna said. “For people that don’t drive, they can come here and get quality items.”…
