A man was placed into custody at about 1:50 p.m. Monday, April 27, in the 4000 block of North Leamington Avenue, after officers discovered he allegedly possessed more than 400 grams of suspected cocaine, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
Officers saw a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant and approached the vehicle to investigate, according to police. Officers asked the man to exit the vehicle because he appeared nervous after they saw in plain view a suspicious-looking bag, according to police.
