An Ohio man who thought he never earned a high school diploma recently got a surprise when he learned that he did, in fact, graduate.
Shawn Hughes, a resident at Prospect House, a long-term recovery center for men in Cincinnati, said he recently enrolled in Cincinnati Public Schools’ ASPIRE program, which offers free classes for adults pursuing a GED, per local ABC affiliate WCPO.
But just weeks after he started attending classes, staff members gave Hughes, 58, some unexpected news…
