Busy Northern Kentucky road to be reconfigured with bike lanes, turn lane

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) – A major redesign is coming to one of Northern Kentucky’s busiest roads as part of a state project aimed at improving safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reconfiguring Grand Avenue (KY 1892) in Fort Thomas from South Fort Thomas Avenue to Churchill Drive, converting the current four-lane roadway into one lane in each direction with a center turn lane and dedicated bike lanes.
