CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Shampoo sold nationwide by a Cincinnati-based company was recalled after the manufacturer learned that the product may be contaminated with a potentially dangerous bacteria.
According to a recall report from the Food and Drug Administration, shampoo produced and sold by Kao USA, which is headquartered in Cincinnati, was recalled after the manufacturer detected the bacteria Pluralibacter gergoviae.
“Though Pluralibacter gergoviae bacteria pose little medical risk to healthy people, those with certain health issues such as weakened immune systems may be more susceptible to infection by the bacteria,” the release read…
