A Cincinnati high school just received the largest single donation in its history

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Roger Bacon High School has received the largest single donation in its history, a $2.8 million estate gift from alumnus Ronald “Ron” Amrhein, a member of the Class of 1951.

School officials said the gift will establish a permanent endowed scholarship to provide tuition assistance for future students while also funding campus improvements.

The donation comes just two months after Roger Bacon announced what was then its largest-ever gift, making this the second record-setting estate commitment the school has received this year.

As part of the gift, the community room inside the school’s new Anne Nurre Heidt Atrium will be named the Ronald Amrhein Community Room in honor of the longtime alumnus…
