CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) -Cleanup is underway after an EF-1 tornado touched down in Clermont County on Tuesday, leaving downed trees and property damage along the border of Pierce and Ohio townships.
Clermont County Emergency Management Agency Director Shawn Riley said crews are still assessing the full scope of the damage.
“Right now I think the vast majority of work is residential cleanup, which for the most part is trees, branches and limbs,” Riley said.
Pierce Township is removing debris from the right of way, but homeowners primarily handle the cleanup. Riley mentioned the aim is to assist affected residents in returning to normal.
“To that standpoint, I think we’re pretty happy with where things are right now. We’re just trying to do what we can to get those folks that were affected back to normal, so they can just get back to living their normal life,” Riley said…
