Cincinnati Public Schools back-to-school bash draws families ahead of first day

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati Public Schools hosted its annual back-to-school bash Saturday, offering families a free community event ahead of the upcoming school year.

The event was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Washington Park and included school supply giveaways, games, activities and bus tours. Families also had access to sports physicals and health services.

District leaders say event continues to grow

Board President Brandon Craig said the event gives families a chance to connect with the district before classes begin.

“It’s a great chance to get to know some of the schools in the district, get some really cool stuff and really get to learn about what CPS is all about,” Craig said…
