Severe weather and flooding possible tonight, tomorrow

Severe weather with the possibility of flooding is forecast for Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties starting this afternoon and extending through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. A flood watch is also in effect through Wednesday morning.

“Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday night,” according to the service. “Locally heavy rainfall can be expected with the potential for storms to repeatedly track over the same locations. This will result in the potential for flash flooding.”

A very active pattern coming up!! ⛈☔🌊⚡Unfortunately, there is high uncertainty regarding timing of storms over the coming days, so we recommend checking radar before you head out and check frequently for forecast updates. pic.twitter.com/0CaApEzBoc — NWS Wilmington OH (@NWSILN) August 10, 2026…
