Ohio lawmakers push for fuel quality testing as drivers report bad fuel

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Ohio drivers have no way to verify the quality of fuel going into their tanks, and lawmakers are working to change that.

So far in April, at least five drivers reported car trouble after getting gas at a BP station on Reading Road, according to the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office. Repairs cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket.

Ohio has no fuel quality program to catch bad gas before it causes damage.

No statewide testing program
