Nine craft breweries in Ohio, including several from Cincinnati, won big at the 2026 World Beer Cup, taking home a total of 14 medals during the awards ceremony on April 22.
Organized by the Brewers Association (BA), the not-for-profit trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers, the World Beer Cup recognizes “the very best in beer and cider” in 118 categories. In all, the group awarded 353 medals to breweries and cideries across the globe during the 2026 event, now in its 30th year.
“Thirty years in, the World Beer Cup remains a powerful reflection of how far global brewing has come—and where it’s headed,” Chris Williams, World Beer Cup competition director, said in a statement. “Even in a year that challenged beverage alcohol producers to evolve, this year’s winners demonstrated that innovation, precision, and passion for craft are stronger than ever.”…
