DOWNTOWN (WKRC) – Patricia North, a woman convicted five years ago of stealing and selling valuable musical instruments, was back in court Monday accused of failing to pay restitution to her victims — a case that could send her to prison with just months left on probation.
Five years ago at the same courthouse, North agreed to a plea deal that included probation and an agreement to repay victims nearly $80,000. Prosecutors now say she has paid only a fraction of that amount and still owes $73,000, putting her in violation of probation with four months remaining on her sentence.
One of North’s victims, Chris Hock of Colerain Township, said she had taken her $16,000 flute to North for repairs and maintenance for decades. But in 2020, Hock said she was unable to get it back and eventually tracked it down at a pawn shop in Milford…
