Heavy rain, storms knock out power, down trees

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Showers that were heavy at times and thunderstorms moved through the Tri-State overnight, downing trees and knocking out power.

Just over 2,300 Duke Energy customers are without power right now, mostly in Hamilton County, and trees are reported down all over, according to the utility’s website and area dispatchers

In Fairfield Township, a downed tree branch sent a man to the hospital with an open leg fracture, according to Butler County dispatchers.
