NEWPORT, Ky. (WXIX) – Two people were hospitalized after a large house fire in Newport on Tuesday evening, officials say.
Fire crews responded to the 40 block of Fifteenth Street for a two-alarm fire around 5:29 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Newport Fire Chief Frank Peluso, two occupants were still in the building when crews called for a second alarm.
Peluso says he believes three people were in the home at the time of the fire, but only two were taken to the hospital…
