CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A property owner in Mount Adams is suing the City of Cincinnati, alleging crews went beyond emergency landslide cleanup and onto private property, causing major damage.
Steve Vogel, who lives in Mount Adams, filed a federal lawsuit May 6 alleging crews removed trees and vegetation from his property without notice, permission or a warrant.
“There’s been no response from the city either before, during, after and they know where I live,” Vogel said.
The allegations
The lawsuit says Vogel owns multiple hillside parcels at Fort View Place on Martin Drive in Mount Adams. Vogel alleges city contractors used heavy equipment to scrape soil and remove trees and vegetation on his private property after heavy rain and a landslide in May 2024 to clear mud off the street…
