Hyde Park Square’s morning crowd just picked up a new habit. Dovetale Bakery slipped into the neighborhood this spring, setting up shop just off the square with laminated croissants, sourdough loaves and espresso geared toward shoppers, dog walkers, and commuters streaming through the area.

The compact spot is built to work as a bakery-and-coffee hybrid, with just enough room for regulars to grab a pastry, linger over a shot of espresso or hustle out the door with something flaky in hand.

The owners say the shop is zeroing in on laminated pastries and daily breads, alongside crafted espresso drinks for both to-go and sit-down customers. According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, two chefs are working out of a tight back-of-house kitchen to turn out those laminated pastries and sourdough loaves.
