CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The operators of a Cincinnati behavioral health day treatment program serving children agreed to a $15.2 million civil judgment to resolve allegations they defrauded Medicaid, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The settlement involves Recovery Center of Kentucky, Recovery Center of Ohio, Recovery Center of Maryland, parent company Recovery Center of USA and CEO Dr. Warrick Stewart.
Federal officials alleged the companies improperly billed Medicaid for non-health care activities, including education, recreation and lunch breaks, at Aspire Day Program locations in Cincinnati and Kentucky between August 2022 and June 2025…
