Newport Man Shot 15 Times Point-Blank at Circle K, Girlfriend Saves His Life

Early Saturday morning, May 10, 2026, A 24-year-old father Trey Isles was shot 15 times at point-blank range.

This happened just outside the Circle K at 10th and Monmouth Streets in Newport, Kentucky.

Trey and his girlfriend had walked to the store for snacks after a night out. Police and family say an argument escalated, a car returned, and one suspect stood over Isles while he lay on the ground and fired again and again. This tragic event is just one chapter in the story of Trey Isles.

Then his girlfriend acted.

A trained nurse, she immediately began life-saving aid at the scene. Her quick response helped keep Trey alive until medics rushed him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He remains in stable but serious condition. Doctors have called his survival miraculous, given the number of shots and how close the shooter was.
