One arrested after string of car burglaries in two Middle Tennessee cities

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) – Officers with the Springfield Police Department arrested a man this week who they say is connected to a string of car break-ins, according to Smokey Barn News.

SBN reports that Brantavius T. Lewis, 18, was booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility without bond. He is charged with:

  • possession of stolen property
  • unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon
  • possession of a prohibited weapon

His arrest follows a string of vehicle burglaries last week in Greenbrier and Monday night in Springfield, per SBN.

Greenbrier Police told SBN at least eight cars were burglarized between 3 and 4 a.m. on June 9. Detectives are investigating those burglaries, too, but SBN says it is unclear if the Greenbrier and Springfield break-ins are connected…
