Two Legacy Farms were honored during the Christian County Farm Bureau annual meeting Thursday night at the Western Kentucky State Fair.
Kentucky Farm Bureau board member Mary Kate Kordis presented Legacy Farm Awards to Steadfast Farm and Folz Farms. Kordis presented the history of Steadfast Farm that began with Henry Ballback and his son-in-law Donald Moore. Kordis says the farm continues with Donald and Mary Ann Moore and their family.
Kordis also honored Folz Farms that began with a dairy farm operated by Tom and Patricia Folz until a fire in 1976 and continued as the family transitioned to a row crop and tobacco greenhouse operation that is owned and operated today by Tom, Joe, and Tony Folz and their families…
