One hurt in I-169 collision involving a deer

A deer is the likely culprit behind a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 169 in Christian County late Tuesday night that sent the driver to the hospital.

According to Christian County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer John Godsey, it happened around 11:15 p.m. while a pickup truck was heading southbound on I-169 near the 18-mile-marker.

That’s when a deer was in the roadway, causing the driver to swerve to avoid hitting it. The truck crossed into the median and overturned before coming to a stop in the northbound lanes…
