A Robertson County man could face charges after investigators say he falsely reported a home invasion in an attempt to gain sympathy from his recently estranged girlfriend.
According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 4 a.m. on Aug. 2 to a 911 call reporting a home invasion at a home on Drake Road in Cedar Hill.
The caller, identified as 22-year-old Alec Paine, told deputies that two men had broken into his home and that he was hiding in a bedroom. He also claimed the suspects had fled into a nearby cornfield…
