What began nearly three decades ago as a way to fund a handful of college scholarships has grown into one of Christian County’s largest annual community events.
The 27th Annual Christian County Cattlemen’s Rodeo returns Aug. 14-15 at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds, bringing two nights of professional rodeo competition, family entertainment and a Friday night concert. Organizers say the event continues to fulfill its original mission of supporting local students while drawing thousands of visitors to Hopkinsville.
