While students enjoyed summer break, Christian County Public Schools maintenance crews spent the past several months preparing buildings across the district for the start of the new school year.
Facilities Director Trevor Herndon told the Christian County School Board that this summer ranked among the department’s busiest, with crews balancing the opening of the new Christian County High School while completing dozens of improvement projects at existing campuses.
The largest undertaking involved completing the transition into the district’s new high school.
