As we come up on the first day of school in Christian County next week, motorists are being reminded of school zones and the return of school traffic.
That is doubly so for the Pembroke community, which has seen a fairly substantial uptick in traffic this summer due to ongoing roadwork on Interstate 24. People have been leaving the interstate to find alternate routes around the roadwork, and a lot of that extra traffic has funneled into Pembroke, Oak Grove and Trenton.
