FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (WKRN) — Dr. Kewanis Kennedy did not set out to win a national education award. His focus, he said, has always been on the students, families and staff at Marshall Elementary School.
That work has now earned Kennedy the 2026 Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Principal of the Year honor.
Kennedy, who has served as principal of the Fort Campbell elementary school since 2022, received 39 out of 40 points in the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders evaluation. He also received unanimous praise from nominators across the Americas region and DoDEA headquarters.
