DAV Fundraiser Supports Veterans And Keeps Claims Assistance Available

A plate of spaghetti served Friday night at the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8 headquarters represented more than a community dinner; It was part of an evening to raise money to keep services available to Veterans who need help navigating the VA disability claims process.

The event was held at 807 N. Main St. from 5 to 8 p.m. and featured spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, dessert and a drink for $10 per plate.

Bill Hasley, commander of DAV Chapter 8, described the event as a combination fundraiser and community dinner.
