Double-murder suspect found not guilty on assault, threatening charges

Double-murder suspect Anthony Gaines was tried on separate assault charges last week, where a jury found him mostly not guilty on those offenses.

By mostly not guilty, we mean that a jury of his peers found Gaines not guilty on the charge of third-degree assault on a corrections officer, not guilty on four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and one third-degree assault charge was dismissed.

He was, however, found guilty of harassment with physical contact, and he must serve 90 days in jail on that charge…
