HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is invited to visit Jeffers Bend Environmental Center to learn about and enjoy the great outdoors during this year’s Naturefest.
The event will be Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1-4 p.m. for an afternoon of nature centered activities and family fun. Around 40 vendors will be set up where visitors can enjoy the expansive greenspace and trails while learning about bees, birding, plants and more. Among the many activities offered, there will be canoe rides, corn hole, face painting, hayrides, pumpkin painting and a petting zoo.
Each year during Naturefest, kids are able to participate in a poster contest where they can draw a picture to go along with a specific theme for a chance to win first, second, or third place cash prizes…
