Hopkinsville Police Arrest Two in Connection with Self Storage Burglary and Drug Possession

HOPKINSVILLE, KY – In a significant development in local law enforcement, the Hopkinsville Police Department successfully apprehended two suspects involved in a burglary at Hopkinsville Self Storage earlier this month. The duo, a man and a woman, were identified and caught after a detailed investigation led to their vehicle, which was involved in the crime.

The incident that led to their arrest occurred on December 18, when the suspects burglarized the storage facility. Police officers were able to trace their identities and the vehicle used in the robbery. On December 22, the suspects were spotted driving down McLean Avenue in Hopkinsville, in the same vehicle and trailer employed during the burglary. Interestingly, the license plate on the trailer had been stolen from another vehicle, according to a report from the Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD).

During the subsequent search of the truck, officers discovered methamphetamine and a pipe. The male suspect took responsibility for the drugs, facing additional charges of possession on top of the burglary charge. Both suspects admitted to their involvement in the robbery after their arrest.
