There was an ever growing law enforcement presence at the Westside Shell gas station last Tuesday, April 21. The Standard was able to take some pictures. According to an April 24 email to the Standard from the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office Media Relations Coordinator, Paulette Redman, she said, “Nine year old K9 Harry is showing no signs of slowing down. On Tuesday, April 21, Lt. Robbie MacDonald made a traffic stop and after speaking with the driver, became very suspicious of her information. He also suspected drugs might be involved.” Redman said MacDonald deployed K-9 Harry and he gave a positive indication drugs were present in the vehicle. Redman said, “A search of the vehicle turned up meth and drug paraphernalia, further investigation revealed the driver was giving a false name and identification.”
