The Cheatham County Commission voted to pass a resolution not to change the county’s zoning for commercial developments in rural areas at their April 20 meeting.
With use of rural land in the county already governed by the county’s approved Growth Plan, the county commission resolved they do not want or need a change to the use of rural land in Cheatham County; or expansion of commercial development in rural areas, whether it is called high, medium, or low density.
