Tampa officer accused of relationship with 16-year-old gets bond, must stay off social media

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa police officer accused of having a relationship with a 16-year-old boy appeared before a Hillsborough County judge Tuesday.

The attorney for Jonathan Darling, 31, argued the officer should be released without additional monitoring requirements.

Darling was charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, use of a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
