TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — In August, Florida health officials documented the highest number of flesh-eating bacteria cases so far this year.
Six people contracted vibriosis (V. vulnificus) between Aug. 1 and Aug. 29, according to data from the Florida Department of Health’s Reportable Disease Frequency Report.
