Pinellas County Traffic Alert: Where Roadwork Will Slow You Down Sept. 6–12

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in Pinellas County will face several daytime, overnight, and long-term lane closures next week as roadwork continues across the area, according to the Florida Department of Transportation District 7 weekly report for September 6 through September 12, 2026.

Overnight construction will impact major sections of U.S. 19. Crews will close lanes on U.S. 19 between State Road 580 (Main Street) and State Road 586 (Curlew Road) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., starting Tuesday night, September 8, through Thursday night, September 10. Further north on U.S. 19, between Tampa Road and Tarpon Avenue, lane closures will run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. over the same Tuesday-through-Thursday period.

In Clearwater, nighttime work on State Road 60 (Court Street) at Ewing Avenue will shut down lanes from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning Tuesday, September 8, and wrapping up the morning of Friday, September 11…
