St. Petersburg Traffic Alert: Key Southbound I-275 Exit Shuts Down For Two Months

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Drivers heading south through St. Petersburg will need to plan for a detour starting next week.

The southbound Interstate 275 exit ramp to 38th Avenue North (Exit 25) will close early Monday morning, October 5, 2026. The shutdown takes effect just after midnight on Sunday night.

Transportation crews are closing the ramp to complete several roadway improvements, including widening the ramp, installing new drainage, and upgrading highway lighting.
