St. Pete’s busy Earth Day weekend includes Green Thumb Festival and youth farm day

Most folks have adopted the idea that Earth Day is now an entire month, and the acknowledgement of our mother continues this weekend in Pinellas when the St. Pete Youth Farm hosts a full morning of growth. The message is built around sustainability and environmental awareness. There’s a free fruit tree giveaway along with farm tours, kid-friendly activities, plus singing bowls, vendors, a second market, and more.

Advance registration is requested for St. Pete Youth Farm’s 9:30 a.m. sourdough bread workshop and noon tea tasting.

Anyone looking for extended Earth Day activities in the ‘Burg should head to Walter Fuller Park (7901 30th Ave. N) where the two-day Green Thumb Festival brings together more than 120 garden, plant and flower stands.
