JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On day six of the trial for Jacksonville rapper Foolio’s murder, jurors heard testimony about the rapper’s fatal injuries and were shown pictures of guns, ammunition and other evidence seized from a defendant’s home and vehicle.
Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones II, was shot and killed at a Holiday Inn hotel in Tampa on June 23, 2024. The rapper had been visiting the city, celebrating his 26th birthday.
Foolio’s fatal injuries
Dr. Noah Reilly, the medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Jones, testified Thursday that Jones was shot in his upper chest, right arm and back. He said one bullet went through the rapper’s lung, heart and aorta, before going through the left side of his chest, where it was recovered.
