Oldsmar residents are being told to boil their tap water after a major water main break on Monday, May 4, 2026, knocked down pressure across the city and triggered a precautionary advisory.
City officials say the notice covers every property served by Oldsmar while crews work to repair the line and complete safety testing.
According to the City of Oldsmar, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice will stay in effect for at least 48 hours. During that time, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, mixing baby formula and brushing teeth should be boiled.
