Shooting scene spills onto I-77 ramp in Cleveland

CLEVELAND (WJW) – A shooting in Cleveland early Thursday hospitalized two people.

Cleveland police are investigating the shooting reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Independence Road.

Officers responding to the scene found numerous shell casings scattered across the roadway.

Emergency medical crews transported two gunshot victims from the scene to a hospital for treatment.

The crime scene extended to the Fleet Avenue exit ramp from Interstate 77 southbound as investigators collected evidence and worked to determine what led to the gunfire.
