CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland is putting out the call for operators who want to take over the now closed Eastside Market.
Last week, the city started seeking proposals from those willing to operate a grocery store in Glenville. Officials are looking for a new partner for the city-owned building after cutting ties with the previous operator at the end of March.
Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, or NEON, had been operating the market since 2019. But the health clinic network had racked up more than $200,000 in unpaid property taxes and $50,000 in unpaid utilities. Cleveland decided not to renew NEON’s lease…
