CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police detectives are investigating after four people were shot on the city’s east side early Monday morning, including two teenagers.
4 dead including officer, suspect in Rittman shooting
According to preliminary information from Cleveland police, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of East 102nd and Sophia Avenue just after 3:15 a.m. on July 6.
On the way to the scene, officers were approached by two 17-year-old girls who said they’d been shot while driving in the area of East 116th Street and Buckeye Road.
Two additional victims were located – a 21-year-old man and a 30-year-old man – at East 102nd and Sophia, police said. The 30-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
