Columbus murder suspect arrested in Cleveland

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A 20-year-old Columbus man wanted for murder, and who was spotted in Strongsville last month, was arrested in Cleveland Friday.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, LezLeon Evans was wanted in connection to the shooting death of 25-year-old Lamar Ross, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds on North High Street in Columbus. A warrant for Evans was issues a month after the shooting.

As Fox 8 previously reported, Evans had an encounter with Strongsville police on July 7 during which he provided officers a fake name, then fled into a wooded area after police discovered who he was. He was not located at that time.
