CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Defense attorneys for the former Cleveland divorce attorney accused of killing his client, Aliza Sherman, filed a motion Friday to disqualify the lead prosecutor from the case, alleging “ethical and constitutional violations.”
In the motion, Moore’s attorneys, Jon Paul Rion and Christopher Bucio, requested an order to remove lead prosecutor Kevin Filiatraut, writing that “Filiatraut’s misconduct has violated Mr. Moore’s Sixth Amendment right to counsel, a fair trial and a defense, thus stripping him of his right to due process.”
In court records, Moore’s defense said Filiatraut communicated with attorney Robert Glickman of McCarthy Lebit, a firm that formerly represented Moore, through text messages, phone calls and scheduled meetings…
