WESTLAKE, Ohio – Officers spotted an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle in a vehicle they stopped for a license violation at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 9.
The stop occurred on I-90 eastbound near Columbia Road. The rifle was sitting on the passenger’s seat, according to a Westlake Police Department press release.
The 18-year-old driver, an Elyria man, cooperated with the officers’ instructions to exit the vehicle. Officers determined that the man was not allowed to possess a gun due to prior convictions for aggravated riot and other felonies, according to the press release…
