CLEVELAND (WJW) — An all-out effort involving animal control officers and firefighters resulted in the successful rescue of a dog whose owner thought might have been stolen and lost forever.
Animal control was summoned to a decommissioned power plant site on Dick Goddard Way on Tuesday after an employee there reported seeing a dog in a basin that was being drained.

The basin still had about two feet of water in it and the dog had vanished inside a massive drain.
