(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said recently a K9 and his handler visited a Jr. Deputy, giving her a special gift after she lost her favorite stuffed animal.
According to EPSO, Claire was paired with Sheriff Roybal and his wife, Melissa, at Shop with a Cop in 2023, and EPSO has been her biggest cheerleader since. Recently, Jr. Deputy Claire lost her favorite stuffed animal, EPSO K9 Jack, and her mother told EPSO that she was heartbroken.
EPSO said it could not let Claire go without, so the real K9 Jack and his handler Deputy Robblee stopped by to deliver Claire four new EPSO K9 stuffed animals; Jack, Knox, Jinx, and Taz.
EPSO reports that Claire was elated with the gift. Claire told Deputy Robblee during the visit that she can not wait to work as a deputy someday…
