The El Paso County Kite Festival is scheduled for June 20 at Falcon Regional Park this year, and it’s set to include kite flying, a wind-propelled craft project, a kite competition, and more.
According to a press release from El Paso County, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is free and family-friendly. The festival gives the community an excellent chance to “enjoy outdoor recreation, creative activities, local vendors, and a colorful day at one of El Paso County’s regional parks.”
Activities will include kite flying, a wind-propelled craft project, vendors, treats, and other attractions. There will also be a youth kite competition for those under 18. Categories will include Best Homemade Kite, Most Elaborate Kite, and Judge’s Choice…
