CSPD: Pedestrian seriously injured in Old Colorado City crash

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A pedestrian got seriously injured after being hit by a car at an intersection on the west side of Old Colorado City on Friday evening, June 5, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

Police reported that at around 6 p.m on Friday, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of West Colorado Avenue, at the intersection of North 29th Street, for a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the pedestrian had been hit in the crosswalk by a car turning left onto Colorado Avenue.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently stable. Because of the seriousness of the injuries received, the Major Crash Team took over the investigation.
